Congratulations to Rabbi Rossel
At the risk of embarrassing our Rabbi, Seymour Rossel,
We are thrilled to announce the following good news!
The first printing of The Storybook Haggadah, written by Rabbi Seymour Rossel has officially “sold out” in its first year! (though our CJCN Sisterhood gift shop still has a few copies in stock). The last 400 copies of the book were sold to the King David Hotel of Jerusalem. The Storybook Haggadah will be given to every guest at the upcoming Passover seder at the King David.
Rabbi Yaacov Peterseil, President of Pitspopany Press, publisher of children's books, writes:
“The Storybook Haggadah will keep your child awake and aware at the Seder table; but these stories are wonderful to read all year long. Many are based on Rabbinic Lore and help children to relate to the different parts of the Seder. This is a full color, 72 page Haggadah with both the complete Hebrew and English text.”
The Jewish Week of New York writes (March 23, 2007):
The Storybook Haggadah by Seymour Rossel, illustrated by Janet Zwebner (Pitspopany Press) is meant for families with young children, although it is structured so that it can easily be used with other editions at the seder table (the book can also be read with children before the seder, as preparation). Explanatory stories, featured in sidebars throughout, are told from a child’s point of view. Kids will enjoy the colorful illustrations and captions
