Bat/Bat Mitzvah

This warm religious experience is one of the most remembered life cycle events in the lives of our children and their families.  Becoming a Bar/Bat Mitzvah is a process that takes commitment and time. It's not the end of a Jewish education, but a milestone in the creation of a Jewish way of life. At Congregation Jewish Community North, we personalize the Bar and Bat Mitzvah ceremony to embrace the special meaning of this life-cycle event for everyone.

Prior to becoming a Bar or Bat Mitzvah, each candidate receives extra mid-week Hebrew instruction as well as individual instruction from the Rabbi.  Please refer to our Bar/Bat Mitzvah Handbook for details.

Our Congregation has also sponsored a number of special and very moving adult B'nai Mitzvah classes and ceremonies.
