This is the date that Jews around the world mourn the tragedy of the destruction of the Holy Temple on two separate occasions. As this is a solemn and sad occasion, we have decided to change the date of Bingo to Saturday, August 16th. When the event was planned, we didn't realize this. We apologize if anyone was offended. Shalom CJCN members! As you know Fall Conclave is coming up and we need as much support from the Temple as we can get. Fall Conclave is all about Jewish teens coming together from Texas and Oklahoma to eat, live, and breathe Judaism for a whole weekend. SPRIFTY members are excited to host and organize this and are deep into the planning of programs, Shabbat services, a Torah study and a fun social for Saturday night. This is where you come in! SPRIFTY cannot host this event on its own! We are asking for help, such as: Donations for food for the weekend, snacks and goodie bags 50 Host families to house the conclave participants for the weekend Any and all help is definitely welcome and GREATLY appreciated. Last year we sold over 900 sandwiches, which resulted in revenues of over $10,000. We were able to donate $1144 to Northwest Assistance Ministries. CJCN has belonged to NAM since NAM started. This is a wonderful way to give back to our community! Our pick up and delivery date for 2009 is March 23. Our 2009 Corned Beef Committee is forming and in order for it to succeed, we need you. We need sub-committee coordinators to help with purchasing, with marketing and with keeping track of the money! Do you have a business that you would like to promote?
